Frequently Asked Questions

What are the benefits of steel?

Steel offers so many benefits as a building material, it is difficult to focus on any one as most important. Taken together, steel’s impressive array of attributes add up to a material that is second to none in value and performance.

Steel’s greatest strength, or course, may well be its literal strength. It has the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any building material. It is also fire-resistant, so it stops fires from spreading and eliminates the need for fire parapets.

Steel remains strong over time. No rotting, splitting, cracking, or creeping. No twisting or warping. That adds up to far less maintenance and more dependable performance over time.

Steel is everywhere you go. With consistent material quality standards in every region of the country, steel users can always count on the exceptional performance that makes steel so superior.

Steel also simplifies the construction process. It makes foundation construction much easier, while providing for straight walls and square corners, and always allowing doors to open and close properly.

Steel is also easy to work with. Its inherent strength allows for much greater architectural and design flexibility, with long spans and curves easy to incorporate into a building’s functional designs.

Light and easy to transport, steel creates much less material waste than wood and other materials – and no material performs better in earthquake tests.

All of this not only gives you excellent performance during the life of your building, but enhances your resale value. And at the end of its long life, steel is fully recyclable.

There is simply no other material that provides this many benefits. Steel is one of a kind, and Landmark has the experience and skill to put it to work for you.

Does Landmark supply the concrete?

Yes. On Turn Key projects we can take care of everything from the design and permitting to the install of the metal building and interior finishes. We have relationships with several sub-contractors, and we take advantage of those relationships to ensure you have the quality you desire in your completed project.

Does Landmark take care of building permits?

Yes. As with the previous question, we can take care of everything from design to permitting, on to installation of the metal building and interior finishes. Between us and the sub-contractors we work with, we are committed to giving you quality at every point in the process.

Are there standard sizes to the buildings you build?

Although each building is custom-built, there are standard sizes that can be ordered in situations when the manufacturer produces a number of these buildings from engineering done in advance. These are called express buildings. The smallest is 30 feet by 40 feet. It goes up from there in 20-foot and 25-foot lengths, and in 10-foot and 15-foot widths.

How many different color buildings does Landmark build?

There are 16 standard colors for metal buildings, and we build them all, in addition to galvalume, and it all comes with a 20-year manufacturers finish warranty.

Are there options available with Landmark buildings?

Absolutely. Some of the options clients can choose include insulation, stairs, hand railings, doors, windows, light-transmitting panels, ridge vents, louvers, mezzanines, and miscellaneous steel – and that’s just to name a few.

What if I want to erect my own metal building. Can Landmark help me with that?

We sure can. Landmark can supply you with materials, drawings, and detailed instructions. Your job is to supply the labor and the equipment.

What if I just want to buy components, like siding or secondary framing?
